I tried the Cupcake waffles from "Random Thoughts of a Super Mom" YUM!

Last night I whipped up some white cake mix and tried the waffles from http://the-wilson-world.blogspot.com/2011/07/cupcake-waffles.html

They were a huge hit at our house! YUMilicious.

Angel Costume ReStyle for little girl

I started with a $5 dollar angel costume from party city.  I had all the extra supplies on hand that I needed so the cost was very low.  If I purchased the beads, tule, wire, and butterfly it would have been about $10.00.

WINGS:  Using the wings from the package I quick stitched a feather and silver boa around the edge. I did not cut or modify the boa so I can remove it afterwards and return it to my daughters dress up box. I left it dangling a little bit on the bottom of each wing to make it more wing shaped (in my opinion). This wing reStyle only took 10 minutes. The boa was from my daughters dress up box but I priced them at Hobby Lobby for $6.

TUTU: I cut the angel dress in half, sewed a basic waistband and threaded a piece of elastic so I now have an angel skirt/slip. I removed the marabou from the bottom. I am using that in the angel bib necklace and sash.  With the tutu being white I wanted a slip or underskirt for modesty.

Threading elastic waistband

TuTu: Using a piece of elastic for the waistband I looped cut pieces of tulle from a basic roll until the full waist circumference was covered.  I had a number of tulle strips to cut and made this easy by wrapping a piece of cardboard with all the tulle and then cutting that bundle in half. This worked to quickly and consistently cut a lot of strips.  If you wanted to you could also add pretty ribbon or  contrasting tulle the same way.

Bib Necklace: Using an oval of scrap fabric I sewed it closed and left a channel for the ribbon necklace to feed through.  I created simple wrapped roses and embellishments from scraps and hot glued them to the bib. I also added a silver butterfly to spruce it up.
